ok guys. fr fr its time to stop pretending there are “equivalents” to butch/femme in other sexualities 

there are no equivalents to butch/femme. it has been communicated to us time and time again that they are very explicitly a lesbian experience that can’t be translated over into non-lesbian lives. 
i understand wanting to discuss the way your aesthetic and gender presentation impacts your sexual identity but there are so many more facets to butch/femme identity that are really honestly truly exclusive to lesbian experiences and history that we shouldn’t be comparing them.
